After hanging out with the RC pilots at Whitter Narrows for a bit, Vern and I headed to Giffith park where we were disappointed by both the parking situation as well as the famous LA smog which made the citiscape shots impossible. On a positive note, I met a wonderful 3-legged rottie. This was the first time I used my new-to-me beat-to-heck Nikkor 135mm f/2.8 AI mount lens. The D40 can't meter these old lenses so I was shooting it full manual and am very happy with the performance. You'd understand if you ever saw the objective element on this lens.
