Santa Ana Zoo

2009_03_07

Looking for things to do, I saw that the Santa Ana Zoo was celebrating it's birthday. After getting my hair cut, I met Han in SA and rolled to TJ to get some breakfast. We must have been the ONLY asians in a 5 block radius but the food was worth it. Han had a huge slab of ham with his eggs and I had a Mexican scramble. Maybe they thought we were the Po-Po or Immergration or something. Anyway, we went to the zoo soon afterwards because we had to walk off the refried beans. The SA Zoo is pretty small when compared to the other "San" Zoo but SA offers at least 50 monkeys - some of which were pretty bad-ass. For some reason, they always look like they were up to no good. The most memorable moment was when the zoo keepers let loose a "Bear Cat" from the rainforests of SE Asia. She looked like a real handful with that insane tail, huge paws, and strong legs. Han and I both wanted to take her home =)
